Having a Morning Routine
Are you the type of person who loves a routine? Do you feel like you accomplish more when you have at least a portion of your day planned out and you know what to expect? I am definitely that type of person.

I am definitely that type of person.
My morning routine is super important to me and on days when I don’t get to follow it I feel like I’m a little lost and I don’t feel as content. Haha! Of course it depends on what’s going on that day - sometimes the activities keeping me from my routine are absolutely worth it! Like the days when we get up early to go do something like an amazing hike, visit an amusement park like SeaWorld or Disney World, or even just to travel to a new place.
Because I’m blessed to be able to work for myself and work from “home,” I get to be in control of my schedule and I get to pick what I start my day with and what time I get to start. Definitely one of the biggest perks of entrepreneurship. ;) One of my biggest passions is reading so that’s the way I start my day. I love to learn new things and expand my knowledge on a variety of topics so I always have a variety of books going. I pretty much always have a daily devotional, a book about faith and/or self-development, a business building book, and of course a health book in my daily ritual. Those are the ones that are most important to me. I also sometimes throw in a book about travel or a biography, or just a book that’s a little entertaining but still has some lessons to teach. I typically spend an hour every morning reading a chapter or so of each book. By doing this, I read on average about a book to a book and a half a week. Of course part of achieving that level of books read is reading some fun fiction books in the evening too. I love a good mystery or legal suspense book. :)
I also have a few other things that I love to do as a part of my morning routine such as having a yummy keto coffee, spending time writing for this and other projects, writing something I’m grateful for in my gratitude journal, and I love to do a little yoga too. I feel like all of these things together help me lead a healthier life than if I just got up and got busy immediately on work. Don't get me wrong, I love my work but having my morning routine and starting the day in this way just sets my mind in such a positive way that it helps the rest of the day.
Do you have a morning routine? What do you love to do for yours?
